Bugatti has confirmed its chiton color scheme will be part of its next car as the brand looks to cement its status as one of the best-selling luxury brands in the world.
The new chiton is designed to resemble the chiton exterior of the 2013 Bugatti Chiron.
“It’s a modern interpretation of the classic Bugatti exterior,” said Marko Wachter, chief of product development at Bugatti, in a statement.
We’re looking forward to the upcoming Bugatti model year, and the first Bugatti in 2018, where the interior design will be a signature feature.
Wachter added that the design team wanted the chitan to be “a great choice” for Bugatti fans who will be able to customize the car, but did not provide further details.
Ahead of the reveal, the chitans interior was unveiled for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show, where it was featured prominently in the company’s new color scheme.
Bugatti’s new interior design was designed to mimic the classic interior of the Bugatti CHI, which is based on the famous sports car that went on to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1956.
The company also revealed the new chitan will be available in three different paint colors.
According to Bugatti’s marketing materials, the new Chiton will be the “world’s most distinctive interior color.”
The company has previously teased that the new color palette will be used by the new hatchback version of the luxury car, dubbed the Chiron hatchback.
In the new design, the Chiton’s interior will be painted in a red and black, with the chitons design and the traditional Bugatti emblem in the middle.
While the interior will remain a faithful reproduction of the original Chiton, the company says it will be updated with more modern features.
Specifically, Bugatti says it is adding a new rear-view camera that allows the driver to better see the surrounding road.
And the company is also expanding the chion’s front seat to include a second monitor and audio system.
Both the new and classic chiton will debut later this year.
